The Richardson Olmsted Complex is open year-round with historical tours available May through September. Visitors can learn about the past, present, and future of the Complex on a public or private guided tour or by listening to our free audio tour.
Beyond our tours and events, you can experience the site by visiting the grounds at any time! Visitors are always welcome to come and enjoy the renewed South Lawn landscape, a green space between the Towers Building and Forest Avenue. See Directions and Parking for access information.
While you are in the area, be sure to visit the neighboring Burchfield Penney Art Center, a multi-arts focused gallery, as well as the vast collection of modern and contemporary art at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery across the street. Save some time to spend exploring the restaurants and shops in the historic Elmwood Village, or visit another historic mixed-use space downtown, the Lafayette Hotel.
Buffalo is also home to the works of the recognized trinity of American architecture: Henry Hobson Richardson, Louis Sullivan, and Frank Lloyd Wright. With the Richardson Olmsted Complex, the Guaranty Building, and the Darwin Martin House, you can experience the progression of American architecture in one city.
